Mark Whitley

Mark is a Chief Operating Officer/Managing Director with a track record of success in complex, change resistant environments across different sectors (logistics telecoms and professional services).

Currently embarking on a Non-Exec/Advisory career his most recent Executive role was Global COO for Norton Rose Fulbright. Prior to that he followed a corporate career including National Westminster Bank, Royal Mail  and BT where he was Managing Director for Global Service Delivery.

He has enjoyed leading large businesses (exceeding £1bn turnover and 7000 people) and is highly experienced in all aspects of general management (including  IT) which he has leveraged in both turnaround situations and developing high performing organizations.

A particular strength  though is his deep transformational change management experience ranging from multi- million pound structured change programmes to more service oriented lean initiatives. This has enabled him to repeatedly link strategy and execution consistently delivering improved and sustained performance for shareholders, partners and customers alike.

A commercial and strategic leader he is also an experienced Board level operator and Global Executive Committee member with experience as chair of REMCO, subsidiary services companies as well as a  member of Risk Management and Health and Safety Committees.

Mark lives in Hertfordshire and is married to Helen. They have two daughters, Laura and Rebecca. He is an improving golfer, enthusiastic skier and social cyclist.
